This hat was published in Vogue Knitting Fall 2015, alongside a number of double-knit shawls done by other prominent designers. I had 3 weeks, so I wasn't putting out a shawl pattern. However, I was able to make two of these hats in a standard beanie and a slouchy style.

I had originally called this hat “Hesperos” but Vogue prefers their own naming scheme; I recycled that name for a different pattern later which used some of the same visual concepts.
