A hat using off-the-grid double-knitting, texture, and some subtle lace

HONEY LOCUST

The second of my Wuxing: 5 Elements series of hats is themed for the element of Earth.

Each of these hats is pushing the envelope on double-knitting in some way; this one uses texture and some subtle lace.

Honey Locust is a very slouchy tam with a leaf pattern that resembles that of the tree for which it’s named. The increases and decreases follow a pattern that will have you working four different leaves per repeat per round, all at different points in their growth cycles. But you’ll soon fall into the rhythm and when you’re done, you’ll have had a most rewarding climb.

Where can I get it?
