Beyond Slip-stitch Double-knitting
Slip-stitch double-knitting is not widely practiced anymore, but it’s interesting as a historical precedent, and might even inspire future creativity since it’s a different way of creating the same fabric. Since it’s the way I initially learned to double-knit, it’s also the way I started to innovate in double-knitting.
In this workshop, you’ll get to try some basic techniques such as decreases, reverse double-knitting, and two-pattern double-knitting, all using the slip-stitch method. You’ll also learn the cleanest possible slip-stitch double-knitted edging.
This workshop is brand new and has no sample art yet; please bear with me!
