Double-knitting Short Rows
Until recently, my entire reason for using short-rows was to create the bottom triangles in double-knit entrelac. While this is a worthy pursuit, there are a lot of other reasons to use short rows and perhaps you’d like to learn how to adapt a short-row pattern to double-knitting.
In this workshop, I’ll teach you three different methods: a wrap-and-turn short-row, a shadow-wrap short-row, and, yes, double-knit German short-rows; there’s a fourth bonus short-row technique in the handout as well!
This is a brand-new workshop and has no sample art yet; thanks for your patience!
prerequisites
(what to know)
You should have taken the Introduction or Advanced Beginner workshops or have facility with modern (two colors at once) double-knitting. You should also be familiar with at least one short-row technique in single-layer knitting, and be comfortable following charts.

2 distinct solid colors (1 light, 1 darker) of plain yarn in the DK to worsted weight range and a pair of straight or circular needles in an appropriate size for your chosen yarn.
If the upcoming virtual or live workshops below don’t work for you due to time or location constraints, this workshop’s last session was recorded and access is now available for purchase!
