Double-knitting Bobbles & Nupps

While I have long felt bobbles and nupps were “incompatible” with double-knitting, there’s really no reason why it can’t be done. Should it? That will be up to you. I discovered a method of working purl-side nupps while taking a short workshop on Estonian lace and adapted it before the end of the workshop to a double-knit method. The instructor was both surprised and unsurprised, given my reputation for double-knitting everything. Since then, I’ve also worked out methods for double-knitting bobbles, since I may as well go all-in on these types of textured stitches.

In this workshop, you’ll learn my methods for adding these intriguing embellishments to your double-knitted fabric, as well as a really clean double-knit selvedge.

This is a brand new workshop, and as such has no sample art yet. Thanks for your patience!
