Intarsia in the round has a couple of different methods, but my favorite is the one promoted by Anne Berk. When I designed my Kontinuum hat, I used her methods to adapt double-knitting intarsia techniques to a circular piece which ends up completely seamless. Because we won't have time to work an entire hat-sized cast-on, I'll also take this opportunity to teach my preferred small-diameter method using two circular needles (you are welcome to use DPNs or magic loop but I will not be teaching those methods).
In this workshop, you'll learn how to achieve a seamless double-knit intarsia pattern in the round, and how the color changes can be moved in either direction.

(what to know)
You should have taken the Introduction, Advanced Beginner, or In the Round workshops or have facility with modern (two colors at once) double-knitting. You should also have experience with single-layer intarsia (or, as a bonus, have taken my Double-knitting Intarsia workshop, but this is not necessary), and following knitting charts.
(what to bring)
4 distinct solid colors (2 light, 2 darker) of plain yarn in the DK to worsted weight range and two circular needles (of any length) in an appropriate size for your chosen yarn.
